Meet the Founder
The Breathing Lab was founded on a simple belief:
**Every athlete deserves the opportunity to perform at their full potential.**
Throughout my career, I have dedicated my life to understanding athletic performance, coaching, and human development. As a **Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)**, I have worked with athletes across multiple sports and competitive levels, always searching for practical, measurable ways to help them improve.
My athletic journey began on the ice, where I played competitive hockey until the age of fifteen. Following an injury, I turned my focus toward martial arts—a path that would shape the next chapter of my life. Years of disciplined training eventually led me to earn the rank of **5th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo**, **4th Degree Black Belt in Jujutsu**, and **Grandmaster in Krav Maga**. These experiences reinforced the importance of discipline, preparation, conditioning, and continuous improvement—principles that continue to guide my work today.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with athletes ranging from aspiring youth competitors to professionals. My experience includes consulting with athletes associated with **NHL, AHL, and ECHL organizations**, as well as providing private instruction to professional mixed martial artists and high-level hockey players. Working with athletes at every stage of development has reinforced one important lesson: success is rarely built on one dramatic improvement. It comes from consistently improving every part of the performance process.
That philosophy is what inspired the creation of **The Breathing Lab**.
While strength, speed, skill, nutrition, and recovery have become standard components of modern athletic development, respiratory performance is often overlooked. Yet every shift, sprint, round, race, and recovery depends on the body's ability to breathe efficiently and deliver oxygen where it is needed most.
The Breathing Lab was created to help athletes and coaches better understand this critical component of performance through professional assessments, objective data, and structured respiratory muscle training. Our mission is not to replace the work of coaches, strength specialists, or medical professionals—it is to complement it by providing another valuable piece of information that supports athlete development.
I believe that athletes deserve more than opinions—they deserve measurable results.
They deserve assessments that establish a baseline, reports that clearly explain their performance, training that is purposeful, and follow-up evaluations that demonstrate progress over time.
Whether you are an elite competitor pursuing championships, a young athlete striving for the next level, or a coach committed to giving your team every possible advantage, my commitment is the same: to provide a professional, honest, and evidence-informed approach to respiratory performance.
At The Breathing Lab, our mission is simple—to help athletes breathe better, measure progress with confidence, and unlock another piece of their performance potential.
